How does Nilon work?

Install the Chrome extension, then browse any supported AI platform — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity. Click the Nilon extension icon to save an entire conversation, or highlight any AI response and click the floating clip button to save just that response. Your saves appear instantly in your vault at nilon.io/vault, automatically tagged by topic.

Which AI platforms are supported?

Nilon currently supports ChatGPT (chatgpt.com), Claude (claude.ai), Gemini (gemini.google.com), and Perplexity (perplexity.ai). Support for additional platforms is on the roadmap.

Will saving the same conversation twice create a duplicate?

Accepted Answer

No — whole-chat saves from the same URL update the existing save rather than creating a duplicate. Re-saving a conversation after it has grown will update your vault with the latest version.

What's included in the free plan?

The free plan includes up to 50 saves, keyword search across your vault, and the three core action integrations (Google Docs, Google Calendar, Gmail). No credit card required.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings → Subscription and click "Upgrade to Pro". You will be taken to a secure Stripe checkout page. Pro includes unlimited saves, search by meaning, and all integrations.

Can I export my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes — go to Settings → Data and click "Export vault". Your full vault downloads as a JSON file. You own your data and can export it at any time.

Question 7

Is my saved content used to train AI models?

Accepted Answer

No. Your vault content is never shared with or used to train any AI model, including the Anthropic API used for auto-tagging. Auto-tagging sends only the save content to Anthropic for classification — it is not stored or used for training by Anthropic under their API terms.
